Grading

Most karate clubs will grade their students at least 3 times a year, often this is done because it in financially rewarding for the instructors. Sensei Debi however feels strongly that it is far better for the student’s quality of karate if they are only graded twice a year.

The gradings are in July and December of each year and are normally held at the German School in Petersham, Surrey.

Photos from the grading on 28th June 2009 can be accessed here: www.dephoto.biz/funakoshi - note that you will need to register to see them. This is very easy and only involves entering an email address and a password. You also need to install a program called Silverlight, which is also very quick and easy.
